After much trial and error, I finally tie my first tie... something that I can use for my interviews...

Home and thinking hard

Dunno what happened to the job market... super hard to get a job now (and wondering is my studies in IT all for nothing? not enough technical studies issit?)

each time I head to an interview, it will be about technical skills...

-do you know .net?

-SQL? Oracle?

-the job will be dealing with telco systems such as (...)

-what are your skills in IT?

^above all points to technical.

IT is all about it. Looking back, I realize it was all due to the mistake I did last time in college for not taking up computer science, as I was too scared about it... (programming and such after listening to ppl complain). Thinking back I was really a fool. If I would take the harder path, looking for a job now would be so much easier. (even networking major would be easier to find a job)

So to all IT students who haven't choose their major... always go for a technical major, (networking, comp science, soft engineering etc) Try settling for the easier path and you'll find yourself regretting it. (multimedia, business IS, information technology etc)

And ya...always go for a good uni(if possible overseas) to complete your studies. Sunway I can testify, is not one of them. APIIT will be the best in Malaysia... Inti and Tar College is kinda good. And others too... I guess the local universities such as UM, USM will be a good place too as they are with a certain value (just make sure you boost your English).

Now I'm at home...hoping at some point some recruiter will take notice of my plus sides and gimme a chance to prove myself. I won't give up so soon... at least not yet.

I know what I am capable of... And I believe one day I will finally get the chance to prove myself.

Updating from home.

I'm free from the job that I so yearned to leave. And finally I am, free at last. It was as if a massive burden release from my shoulders. I could barely describe the horror and chaos that echoes from it. I am...as if, traumatized.

Mum tried arguing that leaving was stupid, but no, even till now I stand with my decision, without regrets. I am happy, free from the agony which held on to me.

Maxis wasn't heaven, it was the opposite. To the point of brink insanity if I were to put it in words. I never thought an organization I regarded so highly could turn to such a pile. Friends who know me will know it's not the end of my words... Words that sounds as if working there was a nightmare, an experience that left a scare on me, wounded, as if a tragic accident happened to me...

Now I'm free, and I don't mind being jobless. I rather be then being in a prison. It may sound as if I am exaggerating, but truly that is how I felt in my heart.

So much is wrong there... to me much can be improve, but it just gets to the point of unbearable. To the point something in me just spark...and soon it's all over.

It is time to change...to Digi.

Wack how much his skin also damm thick 1...

Then have to boil water early morning anot no coffee to drink, cis damm mafan. Then with sweaty shirt walk go to work. Sigh how I wish mum faster come back.

Maxis

It's the first time I've wrote something about my latest job in Maxis. So be prepared, it's gonna be long.

Maxis, a name many people have regarded as one of the best telcos in Malaysia. Even I myself thought so.

But within 6 months of working here since February till now and resigning next month, July...

First thing to say... it isn't easy working at Maxis. A few times I was totally burned out and feel like just giving up on the whole thing. These few days I had even took an "evening nap" because I didn't had enough rest and super tired (tho I slept around 11-12 these 3 days, I figure the best is still before 11. But so little time? My only free time is doing stuffs at night)

It really opened my eyes to the goodness of working at Intel last time, and even at Nike. As even the pay was low in Nike, I really had fun and made lots of new friends + understanding what nike is all about. It even made me loved the brand alot.

Maxis is a diffrent story. There are many perspectives and angles that you can look at it. First off, the telco industry in Malaysia is a very challenging one... Just see how Digi and Maxis compete with each other, and yea don't look down on Celcom..there are lots of Malays who use them in the east coast. To tell the truth, I didn't enjoy my work at Maxis. It could be caused by the pressure and environment and lack of growth...somehow many things are missing. It is as if a wet towel has been squeezed till it is beyond dry....

Ya know... I learnt that the most important part of work is not complaining that it sux... becoz if u do...you'll find that all jobs sucks. It's life. Just as long you can look forward to your work each morning without much complaining, it's already considered ok. I always wonder why people who get good jobs in Intel, IBM keep saying they wanna quit and look for better.... wait till you come over to my position as customer care in Maxis... har...then u'll know.

Talking to people everyday till the lips run dry...having customers that sometimes ask really ridiculous and lengthy questions. Customers scolding Maxis (in turn scolding you). Not having your own work privacy. Everyone including customers can see you... a short tempered supervisor and colleague. Extreme pressure from the management above... Call the departments (eg HR, Maxis Collections, GSM) and you might sometimes even get rude tones from them if they are having a bad day/or you bother them for some tiny matter... Making endless reports (as the reports quota is 100% for each customer you press, nuts? no.. it's a target, go below 55% and you'll get flamed by the supervisor). Things can get pretty unbearable and stressful...

So anyone with a better position wanna swap jobs with me? if you don't want to, value your jobs. Being young it's always worth-while to work a bit harder and take up some flames. Just learn to sit back and chill.

And shit... I forgot all about it. How wrong can I get? Well maybe I missed the frequent flours and eggs poured onto me during my birthdays for the past 2 years...

now back in Kuantan... I didn't even receive an sms after 12. I guess... it isn't that significant anymore huh. I miss my friends in KL, but what to do, for the sake of money...tahan first.

updates from interview trip

Ok... I didnt take any photos of IBM coz the interview was so rush!!! I could only take pics related to it.... First of all... my sis home which I "borrowed" for one nite to sleep in:

Brands that I love to have...

I just love brands... it just makes me wonder how each great brands are so carefully and intricately woven into their superb products... + with the good after sales service... there is just so much to be admired about what they do. (well maybe not working there if you know what I mean)

Below are the few brands I'm currently in love with... The few products I've used have given me a big deal of an impression of them. May I present you:

1. Swatch

^The watch Swatch Irony series that I am using now... not even a scratch on the glass. It seems to be like as thick as some under-water submarine glass or something. Anyhow its durable, nice and I like the color!! muahhaa... (price? RM300+) And they even promise that the glass can be replaced (with a fee of course) if it is scratched o_O"""

2. Nike

^even the tag looks lovely...

^the shoes I'm wearing for casual these days. As comfortable as a cotton in the air...(cost: RM200+)

^I love those bags that they give when you exceed RM200... it makes you feel you're the only one holding it...

Nike... you rocks once more!!! (only occurred after I worked there and learn about the brand, and why is it so damn good, though expensive.)


3. Bodyshop

This I have to admit...after buying their shower foam product, till I realize how good they are at making them. It is just flawless... The deodorant is nice too.

And I especially love the fact that they are anti animal testing, and also trying their very best to help the poor...in the countries like Africa where "poverty" really means something big. They actually give business to the plantation workers there by buying their crops for their Body Shop products!! Cool huh! You get cheaper raw materials and you help them too!!! The formula they use to make their products....are really god-sent. I don't think anyone can copy them. God must have really bless them with such genius by helping the poor people.

^this one is perfect. I had sensitive skin at first due to some detergent crossing my hand, making them peel off!! Arghh...didn't know which brand to buy for sensitive skin...till I bought this. Non detergent shower foam, made from cocoa (some special cocoa really). Feels refreshed after using it. The smell is heaven.

^Deodorant. A bit regret at first...coz thought that Boss or some other "real" guy perfume brands would be better. But later feel that it is fine... Really take those stinky body odor till end of the day, much better then my previous perfume... more lasting.

Sorry for not updating.... guess there are people who actually reads my dull blog. I was away due to frustration with the old template "image not found" problem. Luckily I got linked up with the author to grab the images... only got the time to test it today and it was fix in 2 seconds! (thank god I saved the old template codes in notepad before editing.)

This template still rocks....the creator replied my frantic email and sent the graphics over! woohoo... I miss the purple and all that. The blog feels rejuvenated.
